Charlie Sloth & DJ Gone Showcase UK Talent

Charlie Sloth - The Black Book

I’m always harping on about the need for all of us in the UK to support more homegrown talent. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kanye and Weezy as much as the next person, but it’s important to embrace our own too.  So when I heard that Charlie Sloth and DJ Gone had teamed up to create a compilation album of the UK’s finest lyricists,  I got a little excited. The album is called The Black Book and features the likes of Wretch 32, Mystro, Genesis Elijah, Skinnyman and Black the Ripper and is produced by Dominic Owen who created hits for B.I.G, Lil Kim, Rahim and Jay-Z to name a few – so this album is definitely one for the CD collection.

The Black Book will be available for  free download on 1st March 2010 from www.charliesloth.com.
