I’ve got to admit that I wasn’t really aware about The Underground Unit as a collective before now, but anyone that’s familiar with UK music will have heard of the hit maker himself, DJ Silencer who has produced for the who’s-who of Grime. So when he told me to check out this release I presumed it was going to be a grime track, but boy was I wrong. House Party is an upbeat joint (no pun intended) with a sound reminiscent of the late 90s that makes you want to get up and shake a leg but at the same time I can imagine it blaring out of car windows on a hot summer’s day.
It’s nice to see artists doing something refreshing and different, this was certainly a wildcard and I can’t wait to see what the Unit release next.
